About Barry Doublestein

Barry Doublestein has spent his entire career working in the field of medicine. Over his lifetime, he has served as Dean of Students at the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine,  where he also created a financial system which allowed the medical school to serve as a lender to their students.

Beginning in 1989, Barry served as the President of The Osteopathic Institute of the South, and also as a lobbyist for the  medical profession in the  Georgia State House.  As a result of his innovative programs to recruit a network of doctors to serve as mentors for medical students around the country, Barry was able to build a medical school “backwards”. About Vivian Doublestein

About Vivian Doublestein

Vivian Doublestein has been married to Barry since 1977. Together they have pioneered many projects, programs and renovations. They are no strangers to the types of projects that Peace Mountain is creating.

In her lifetime, Vivian taught piano lessons for over 40 years, served as an accompanist  for 50 years, raised and homeschooled three children, and now is a Mimi of 15.

While she was homeschooling, Vivian recognized a great need for students to be educated in the arts. As a result, she created The Master’s Academy of Fine Arts, an innovative program which taught the arts in their historical context. Over a 20 year  period she pioneered and developed the program in 35 locations around the nation.

Since 2012, she has returned to her first love of being a collaborative pianist and currently serves as the vocal and choral staff accompanist at The University of North Georgia, as well as a freelance accompanist in the greater Metro Atlanta area.
